Now we’ve officially broken ground on our capital development work, our current building is about 40% smaller than it was. To ensure that we maximise the quality and excellence of our learning offer we’ve decided to scale back our core school and college programmes from Easter 2013. Look out for exciting new programme developments on our blog, leading up to our grand reopening in summer 2014.
What does this mean for school visits?
We will not be taking bookings for our usual school and college workshops from the Easter holidays up until we reopen in summer 2014.
Pilot workshops – get involved!
If you’re interested in bringing a school or college group during the summer term, please do get in touch as we will be trialling lots of new ideas and will be looking for schools to do pilot sessions for brand new workshops with us.
As always, we’ll be there to offer support and resources for schools coming on self-guided visits to the gallery, right up until we take a break in September.
On a practical note – due to the building work which is now taking place at the back of the gallery we don’t currently have an indoor lunch space for school groups. We have picnic benches at the front of the gallery for groups to use, but realise that in sunny Manchester this isn’t always an option! If you have any queries or comments about these changes, please do get in touch!
